This is the before:
See how the paint was chipping?
There was a gap because the granite was level but the cabinets (that were original to the home) were not.
I found some trim in the garage to fix the gap.
I am loving Kristi's kitchen at Addicted 2 Decorating.
As soon as I saw these I fell in love! As if that wasn't enough, here are some pieces that I love that helped inspire me some more.
Vintage fabric, an Anthropologie hot pad and a Southern Living at Home tuscan pitcher.
So after lots of prep work like removing all the hardware, scrubbing everything down, priming, etc. Here is my new kitchen!!
My inspiration, vintage fabric. And that wood is actually driftwood I picked up off the beach!
The square frames are holding scrapbook paper that I thought was pretty and it sort of coordinates with my curtains!
remember this post about how I needed something on this wall???
Those shelves were $7.50 each at Joanns. Score!
I am loving my new kitchen!!! Now if only everyone would stop dropping crumbs and leaving dishes around...

I LOVE your kitchen redo!! LOVE it!! I'm rethinking mine as the cabinets come in, UNFINISHED! I hate being unsure. I also love the framed fabric: an answer to a project I've been thinking over. THANKS SO MUCH!!! Enjoy your new kitchen!!! :)
I love your kitchen cabinets! The color is just fabulous! My husband sounds like yours~he doesn't mind if I paint anything... but please not the cabinets!!! What is up with that? Someday I WILL have painted ones like yours!
Love, love... makes your backsplash pop too.
Did you paint or stain the back sides of the cabinets doors?
I LOVE the color of the cabinets! Great job! Just came across your blog and I'm a new follower.
What a fabulous transformation! I did the same thing to my cabinets years ago(in sage green)and wondered what took me so long! I love your color. t I may have to change mine to aqua, but doing the kitchen is a lot of work!
I love the color of the cabinets; I like the bottoms a different color....never thought about that! :) I just repainted my cabinets too, it's a big project, but it's so nice when it's finished. Great Job!

I LOVE the two tones kitchen! I think it looks great how you left the tops white and only painted the bottom. We recently did our kitchen (green cabinets) and I wish I would have done some two toning :) Get Job!
Love the blue cabinets. I love the way you have both the white and the blue! I had the same problem when we installed our granite. We didn't want to mess up the stone backsplash so we had to add shims under the counters to make them even in spots...are house has settled a bit. Anyway, your kitchen looks great!

Such a lovely colour and a great job on the cabinets! (visiting from A2D).
What an amazing transformation! I love the two-tone cabinets. You did a great job!
Like everyone else, I also like your blue cabinet! My wife and I are also planning to renovate our kitchen this year and we’re looking for design ideas. Thanks for sharing yours!
Your kitchen is lovely with all those paintings hanging on the wall and the light chandelier on top of the dining table. I am also worried about a certain kitchen fact – it is hard to keep it clean. However, I came up with an idea to have a crumb basin beneath drawers and organizers where I can shoot away crumbs when they show up. It’s simple and hassle-free.
